Dear Friend in
Lord Yeshua!
Shalom and
warmest greetings to you. Thank you very much for your prayers and faithful
support of this work to reach lost people for The Messiah. We read in
Deuteronomy 6:10, 12: “So it shall be, when the Lord your God brings you
into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build.”;
“then beware, lest you forget the Lord who brought you out of the land of
Egypt, from the house of bondage.”
It seems to me,
that the Lord wanted to teach Israelites many things from the His Word. One
of them is to have a thankful heart. It happens very often, that in our
everyday life we do not count our blessings, but have bitterness inside from
different problems. I am praying for you and for me that we will not miss
thankfulness to the Lord for everything He is doing in our lives. In the
time of Thanksgiving I am grateful, that I have you as my faithful partner
and supporter.
“Do not be
anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in
Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7).
The thankful
heart is so dear to God that He fulfills this promise of inexplicable peace
in a matter of seconds, minutes or hours – and continues on for days, weeks,
months and years. When teaching Beth-El Congregation that the living God
actually, really, truly, honestly, in face works in our own lives to make
His principles and promises happen, I have often turned to this Bible
passage and encouraged them to pray this way, with thanksgiving. I
absolutely know that He will reveal His mercy to us through this.
In October I
witnessed to more than 100 people. In
Arden mall,
Sacramento CA I met one Muslim from
India. The man told me that all gods are the same, and whatever
people think is true is all right, and there are no differences in all
religions. I needed to witness to him that there are big differences. I
talked about Jesus, and the man accepted from me a Jesus DVD movie. Another
Muslim man from
Bangladesh also accepted a Jesus DVD movie. A Buddhist from
Vietnam accepted Christian literature, two Israelites accepted NT’s.
I met three other Israelites, but only one of them M. accepted NT.
In
the street I had an opportunity to meet one Jordanian Muslim I. After my
witnesses he accepted a Jesus DVD movie. In the kiosk I met a lady who told
me that she is from Jordan too. She told me that her mother was Jewish who
converted to the Muslim religion to marry to her father. I witnessed to the
lady and she accepted a Bible from me in Arabic language for her father. In
the café I met I. who is a Jewish owner of the place. I witnessed to him and
he got from me a NT in Russian.
In the
Roseville mall I met five Israelites. Three of them declined to take
the Holy Scriptures, but two of them accepted. One of them was a lady who
spoke Russian. It was very blessed because she opened her heart to listen
about the Good News. A Muslim lady from
Afghanistan didn’t want to listen anything about Jesus who is the
Lord, but a Mexican young man accepted a NT. We also witnessed to an
American Catholic woman who told us that some things in the Bible are right,
but also some things are wrong. She said that she believes in evolution and
different ways of salvation. We witnessed to her, but our conversation
stopped fast. In the second floor of the same mall, I met three more
Israelites. Two of them accepted a Gospel of Matthew in Hebrew. The third
man was Jewish from
Columbia. His English wasn’t very well, so he gladly gave us his home
address, and we already sent him the Hebrew-Spanish NT.
In
the
Cleveland streets we had opportunity to witness to more than 40
people. Most of them were Jews, who declined our witnesses.
In the
Beachwood mall I met one Russian and one Ukrainian men. Both of them
accepted New Testaments. I also witnessed to one man from
Italy who said that he attends the Brethren church in Italy, but
still has a lot of questions because he is from Catholic background. I
witnessed and prayed for Him. Three Israelites whom we met in the Beachwood
mall were very aggressive.
In
the
Strongsville mall, I met H. who is from
Syria. She accepted a Bible in Arabic language.
A group of
students from
Russia and
Ukraine whom I met in the airport during my flight also got witnesses
and brochures from me.
Two Tatar
Muslim ladies whom I met in the Cleveland airport got witnesses from me. One
of them gave me her address in
Toledo for the New Testament, and we sent it to her.
In
the last month I had privilege to visit a Jewish man in
Parma hospital. His name is B. Please pray for him as he needs trust
in the Lord Jesus as the Messiah and Savior. My wife Tatiana also is
witnessing to her new friend.
If you
remember, I shared with you about my son Rafael who got a complaint from his
teacher to stop speaking about Jesus to his friends. Now the principal came
to my 9 year old son and told him do not speak about Jesus in the school.
Rafael told me that he talked about Jesus only at break time.
Thank
you again for all your help and support of the Beth-El Ministry. Thank you
that you as our partners remember us. Without God’s grace and your help, we
couldn’t do this ministry. If God leads you to start or continue to help us
financially, please send your donations to the Beth-El Messianic
Congregation, P.O. Box 360165,
Cleveland, OH, 44136. All donations are tax deductible.
May the God of
Israel richly bless you and thank you for being our partners.
Happy
Thanksgiving Holiday. Shalom.
